Married : Alison + Alan

Paul + I are in the process of catching up on blog posts of our recent sessions.....so first up is....drum roll...Alison + Alan's fabulous wedding at the Alpine Country Club in New Jersey! This wedding was incredible...every vendor that Alison + Alan hired to make their day special simply blew us away.

They love the Beatles (as do I) so I just had to make
them their very own compilation.





Alison's gown was a gorgeous Carlos Miele. Is was a beautiful spring day, and we decided to bring the gown outside and hang it on a cherry tree!







What girl doesn't love a pair of Christian Louboutins? Especially when they are purple and covered with swarovski crystals ? Alison had the bottoms of them painted blue for her "something blue." How cool is that?



Her bouquet was incredible....it had feathers decorating it.....how lovely!



Sexy shoes....we couldn't get enough fotos of them : )



The bridesmaids dresses were designed by one of Alison's bridesmaids! We loved how they complimented Alison's gorgeous gown.









Alison's cake, made by the amazing Buddy from Carlo's Bakery, was delivered by Buddy himself. The cake was incredible.....it was even featured on the TV show "Cake Boss." Can you believe that those flowers are made out of sugar.....we thought they were real!



The shoes....: ) And Alison's beautiful ring. Too much sparkle? I think not!




Alison's vision for the persessional of the ceremony was to have everyone throw paper airplanes into the sky to that new popular song "paper airplanes." So all the bridesmaids folded the planes out of origami paper.....good teamwork girls!

Alison & Alan opted for a "First Look, " where the couple has a private moment to see each other before the ceremony. We of course stood back to get their reactions of seeing each other for the first time that day, all "weddinged" up. Here Alison waits for Alan.



What did we say about the details? Love, love, love the feather hairpiece and her braids!

More yummy details.....a feathered armband...what!?! Very original and awesome. Did we mention that Alison is a fashion forcastor? Now you know why her look is so tommorrow! I LOVE the reoccurring feather theme.....look even Alan's boutineer has one!






After they relaxed for a little while, we took off onto the gorgeous property of the Alpine Country Club for some portraits of the couple. Don't they look like movie stars in this one?

Did we mention how much Alison loves to climb trees? Even while wearing a wedding gown? Now that's talent!

I LOVE this one too.....oh too many favorites!



Paul grabbed these shots with a "lensbaby," which gives an "artsy" blurred edge around the fotos. It's pretty random what you get with it because the focus is really tough...but worth the happy surprises! Especially when your couple is spontaneous and jumps around!



We had taken the golf carts out to get around the property...we just had to shoot them in it.....again, the shoes!

I love when couples laugh during ceremonies....it's so in the moment to laugh because of your happiness. Reminds me of the motto for life: Live, laugh, love.

The beautiful Alpine Country Club at night. We adore shooting here...the whole crew of people, especially Candace, the event coordinator is a dream to work with. Thank you Candace, we can't wait to see you again!

The Niderno Family : Belly Session

We heart the Niderno Family! As you might know from our last post about the Niderno's, the family is expecting their third child. We are so excited, because.....gasp...it is going to be a little girl this time! Dawn is very excited to have another female in the house, which is currently all boys except for her. Dawn is due soon, so keep a look out for the newborn session we'll be doing soon. Yay! We will be fotographing Baby "Girl" Niderno for the first year of her life (and beyond!)

So, the lovely Niderno family came in for a belly session, and we had lots of fun together! Enjoy some of our favorites below....

Style Me Pretty : Baby Audrey

As many of you might know, Paul and I are delighted and honored that our studio is a featured photographer in Abby's Little Black Book on the fabulous Style Me Pretty blog. Well, a few weeks back we had the pleasure of meeting Abby in person at Weddings : The Creative Process, a lovely bridal event put on by Sarah True of True and Wesson. Abby was the special guest speaker, and we were so excited to finally meet her. For all of you style obsessed brides out there, you must check out Style Me Pretty... it is the place to go for inspiration. Abby never ceases to amaze us with her intriguing articles and keen eye in putting together inspirational detail boards .

Well, imagine our surprise when Abby's husband Tait calls us a few days later, asking us for a gift certificate for Abby for mother's day! Apparently Abby liked us as much as we liked her. Needless to say, we were quite flattered, and very delighted to photograph Abby and her lovely family.

So, the following week we took a little trip up to Boston to fotograph the Larson's in their home. It was the perfect spring day, and we started in baby Audrey's bright little nursery, where there was plenty of beautiful natural light and smiles!



We loved the colorful rug....it made for such a cheerful background!



Audrey was having a ball hangin' out in her crib! We were all cracking up as she rolled around with that daisy in her hands, ripping the poor thing all apart!





Paul took these wicked cute fotos of Audrey peering from her crib. How cute!



See any family resemblance in the smiles... like mother like daughter : )

Who could resist a face like this? What a doll!






Audrey with Chloe, the family dog. We asked the Larson's if they watch the TV show "24", which just happens to have 2 characters named "Audrey" and "Chloe." They said they actually never saw it....hmmm, coincidence I guess.



Chloe was cute as a button...no wonder Tait is so attached to her.

How sweet is Audrey?



Off to enjoy the beautiful, sunshine outside....we walked over to a lovely park across the street from the Larson's home to make these portraits. I love how Abby spontaneously lifted Audrey up above...real, uncoached moments are the best : ) We always encourage our subjects to be themselves and forget we're even there, and the Larson's were wonderful for that.

All the ladies in the family...prettiness overload! I had a nice talk with Abby's super sweet mom Eddye (who is holding Audrey below). Eddye is the very talented blogger behind the Little Black Book blog, writing inspiring feature articles on the Little Black Book vendors. As you might recall, just a few months back, Paul and I had a wedding featured on the blog. It was great to meet her as well as Tait's mom Judy. We think it is wonderful that Style Me Pretty is a family affair. Tait is the brains behind the programming of the site and I'm pretty sure that Chloe is the Style Me Pretty mascot : )

Back inside....we just had to use the dining room table, fresh flowers and the beautiful vintage chandelier in some shots. And Audrey didn't even pee sitting there all nakey!

Then it was bath time...where else but in the kitchen. Oh to be a baby again!
