Diana + Christos E-Book Design!

As you might recall, last October we did Diana & Christos engagement shoot at the Berlin Fair. Well, I just designed a rockin' book for them to have their guests sign sweet little messages to them at their wedding in July. This couple is adorable- we can't wait to fotograph their wedding! Here is the cover of the book. It is going to be printed by AsukaBook.

The Niderno "Miracle of Life"

Late last year we began a project with the wonderful Niderno family. We offer our clients an awesome program in which we fotograph their new baby several times during the first year of the baby's life, ending with a custom designed book (by KryStyle Designs!)using images from each of the 6 sessions. We call this program "The Miracle of Life" (inspired by Maureen Hawkin's poem). The program starts with a maternity session, then a newborn session, followed by a session every 3 months. This is the Niderno's first 2 sessions. We'll be doing little Dylan's 3 month fotos soon- we can't wait to see how much he has grown!
Don't forget to watch their slideshow at the end of this post to see more!

"Before you were conceived I wanted you.
Before you were born I loved you.
Before you were here for an hour I would die for you.
This is the miracle of life.

We had Dawn come back in the evening to do some "painting with light" shots. If you've never heard of this technique, it's very experimental and fun to do! You have your subject get into a comfortable position, compose your shot (your camera has to be on a tri-pod because you'll have to experiment with long shutter times), turn off the lights, trip your shutter and "paint" away with a flash light! You never quite know how your shot is going to come out until you look at it afterwards- which is part of the fun ; )

Dawn was such a great model, and was very patient- and she hardly blinked!

About two weeks to the day after little Dylan came along, we had the Niderno family come in for their newborn session. What a cutie! Who can resist a brand-new, fresh, wrinkly baby?

Certainly not his big brother Patrick!!

Hillary + Jeremy's Wedding Day

The last wedding we fotographed of 2007 was the wedding of Hillary and Jeremy. We met Hillary a couple years ago when we fotographed her senior portraits. Hillary is such a sweetheart and she is so fun to fotograph! Jeremy is in the military, and we met him for the first time right before the wedding. You can tell he really adores Hillary. The ceremony was so emotional... Hillary's big brother gave her away, and the couple was choking up tears during their vows to each other. It was incrediblely cold outside when we went out later to fotograph the groups, but the whole bridal party were such good sports! We were a little worried that the ladies were going to get frostbite on their toes, so we went as fast as possible, and the shots came out so fun! Congrats Hillary & Jeremy!
